Nice to meet you–I am Julia, amateur home chef living in greater Boston.
The internet puts a wealth of recipes at our fingertips, but frankly my fingertips were getting pretty tired of scrolling past lots of stories and content to finally get to the actual recipes. On this website, my goal is to provide some of my favorite recipes in a convenient and accessible format so you can enjoy them too without too much scrolling.
Each recipe is presented on a single page, with all the relevant information at the top. If I want to add any anecdotes, I’ll do so below. I will also include a link to each recipe in PDF or plain-text format, so you can print it if you want.
My husband and two toddlers eat meat occasionally, but I am a longtime pescatarian, so most of these recipes will focus on vegetables, fruits, and seafood. I may ask my husband to guest post with some of his favorites from time to time. Since my husband and I tend to eat dinner late, after the kids are in bed, most recipes will focus on relatively quick but delicious meals. I love appliances like the toaster oven and and rice cooker that allow you to set-and-forget some elements of the process, and will include tips on how to incorporate those if you have them to save time. Finally, I hate generating tons of dirty dishes, so I’ll include instructions that help minimize the number of bowls and utensils used for each recipe.
Now let’s get to the recipes already!
